Strategic goals of the Chinese Army's extensive exercise around Taiwan

The Chinese army announced on Tuesday, April 5, that it had launched a joint ground, sea and missile exercise around Taiwan, citing a serious warning and powerful deterrence against Taiwan's independence, according to Mehr News Agency.

In its official account on the WeChat social network, the Chinese Army's Eastern Regional Command said: “The focus of these maneuvers is on combat patrols in the sea and air, comprehensive mastery of the region, attacks on land and sea targets, and control over key routes.”

The Taiwan Ministry of Defense also said in a statement that China's Shandong aircraft carrier had arrived in Taiwan's response area on Monday. In response, Taiwan has dispatched its aircraft and military ships and has activated land -based missile systems.

The Chinese Communist Party has continued to increase its military activities around Taiwan and the Indyopasific region and has become the biggest cause of instability in the international community, the statement said.

Following the announcement of the launch of the exercise, the Chinese army released a series of propaganda videos showing that Chinese warships and military jets have been besieged in Taiwan, the city of Taipei has been targeted from above, and armored vehicles are patrolling the streets of Taiwan.

One of the videos, titled “Siege Ring”, which depicts Chinese troops surrounding the island, was released on the Wibo Social Network for the Eastern Region of the Chinese Army.

In another video called “Shell”, Taiwan's chief is shown as a cartoon green insect that is spreading parasites across the island.
