8 killed in house fire in Philippine capital

The bureau said the fire broke out early Thursday morning in the Quezon City suburb while the occupants were fast asleep, Global Times reported.

Eight people were trapped inside the building, while some reportedly escaped the fire by climbing to the roof and crawling to a neighbor’s house.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
