Russia and Ukraine are on the verge of signing an agreement similar to the Istanbul agreement

US President Donald Trump's special envoy says Washington is very close to reaching a peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev to end the war, Mehr News Agency quoted Anatolia as saying.

In a conversation with CNN, Witakaf said that the war was fueled. And that does not necessarily mean that the Russians have fueled it.

He added: “In those days there was all kinds of talk about Ukraine's joining NATO.” The President (Trump) has talked about this. It was not necessary. Such a move will basically become a threat to the Russians.

“Before the negotiations that I call it very cited and seriously, Witcaf continued, within the framework of what Istanbul's agreement was called. We were very close to signing some kind of agreement and I think we will use the same framework as a roadmap to reach a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
