He said: His anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) and inner meniscus were completely torn and came inside the joint and got stuck, which is called a bucket handle tear, which we fixed and repaired. This caused his knee to lock. In surgery, we reconstructed his ACL and put him in an accessory collateral ligament (ALL), which has become very common in sports injury and surgery science and is recommended for all young and elite athletes.

The head of the medical committee of the weightlifting federation said: I hope Alireza Yousefi's treatment goes well. The rehabilitation period and self-care is very important. He should not put his foot on the ground for 4 weeks. I hope that in the next 3 and a half months he will be able to squat even with weights and in 6 months he will be able to handle heavy weights. The return schedule we have set for him is until July next year.
