According to Mehr news agency, Hasan Ghasempour said before Monday afternoon at the citizen's scientific and cultural meeting on the issue of waste: the role of mayors as the main custodians of waste management and the implementation of the waste separation plan is very important.

He stated that currently the per capita waste production is one kilogram per day and 70-80% of waste can be recycled, he said: Unfortunately, in all the cities of the province, waste is buried in the center, which is also a problem for the environment.

The General Director of Environmental Protection of Ardabil Province stated: Waste has economic value and a large percentage of it can be recycled and should be returned to the recycling cycle.

Ghasempour added: The cultural and educational discussion of separating and separating partial waste from the environment and using reusable containers and reducing production waste is an important step in reducing waste production and ultimately preserving the environment.
