6,000 liters of smuggled fuel were discovered by Hormozgan Province

According to Mehr News Agency, following the identification and seizure of hundreds of thousands of liters of smuggled fuel in Bandar Abbas coastal waters, the chief justice of Hormozgan and the provincial capital prosecutor, visiting the decks of these vessels, issued the necessary instructions to complete the investigation process.

On the sidelines of the visit, Mojtaba Ghahramani, the chief justice of Hormozgan, said: “In line with the orders of the Judiciary, the need to counter fuel trafficking in order to prevent theft of national resources and assist the government in resolving the problem. Ghahramani stated: During the inspection of the arrested vessels, it was found that more than 6,000 liters of fuel are only available in the water tanks and there are no documents related to the outflow of the vessel from the special offshore port.

Hormozgan Chief Justice noted: Unfortunately, offending vessels will smuggle fuel by resorting to such practices and techniques, and therefore, if the crime is proved, the seized owners and crew will be decisive.

He also said that in recent hours a carrier carrying more than 6,000 liters of fuel has also been seized in the Persian Gulf waters, and the investigation will continue and the results will be informed.

In another part of his remarks, the Chief Justice of Hormozgan noted: The discoveries that have been made in recent days and months in Hormozgan province in line with the orders of the Judiciary and other senior officials in the country are remarkable and acceptable, and given the measures taken, this process will continue to be serious.

Finally, he emphasized the decisive and unjustified punishment of the perpetrators of the organized fuel smuggling, emphasizing: The provincial prosecutor is visiting the seized vessels and collecting and recording existing evidence and the case of these vessels will be processed in accordance with the legal standards.
