Khuzestan has the ability to develop fisheries up to 2 times

According to Mehr reporter, Seyyed Hossein Hosseini during his trip to Khuzestan province and among the journalists announced the holding of a joint meeting with the country's veterinary medicine and added: Various issues were raised in line with the growth and prosperity of the province's production and good decisions were made, which were expertly discussed in specialized committees. The province and the center will be investigated.
Pointing out that 10% of the country's fishery production is done in Khuzestan, Hosseini added: This province is the only region that has the ability to expand up to 2 times according to the existing capacities, and the necessary facilitations should be done in this regard.
He also mentioned the diversity of species in Shushtar and Gatund cities and introduced them as the drivers of aquaculture.
The head of the Iranian Fisheries Organization expressed hope that in the 7th Fisheries Development Plan, the production of 1.8 million tons of aquatic products will be realized and that the food security document will reach the capacity of 2.6 million tons of fisheries in the next 10 years.
