“2 -degree scan”; Volunteer participation to cross the energy crisis

According to Mehr News Agency, government spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani addressed the importance of “2 -degree schemes” and wrote: “The energy crisis is no longer a matter for several specific or future countries. Today, even the world's most advanced economies are facing the challenge of sustainable energy supply, increased costs and pressure on natural resources. But in Iran, this crisis has taken a more serious form: Energy, especially in the peak seasons, has become one of the key challenges of the governance system.
In recent years, the increase in electricity and gas consumption has put additional pressure on infrastructure networks, and in many parts of the country, it has put us on the verge of gas shutdowns. Last winter experience, despite the intense cold, with people with “2 degrees” and reforming consumption, showed that public participation -based solutions were the best response to this situation.
In this regard, the government, along with the Ministry of Energy and Tavanir, has launched the “Pouyesh 2 degree” as a clever and voluntary measure to reduce electricity consumption in the warm season of the year. This scanner asks people to adjust their home temperature to 2 degrees Celsius; A simple, but extremely effective act at the national level.
According to the Ministry of Energy estimates, this can only be reduced to a thousand megawatts of network consumption in the summer; A capacity equivalent to the production of several power plants. This reduction of consumption not only prevents blackouts, but also helps the economy of families and network stability.
But the “2 -degree scheme” is not just a technical advice; An invitation to change the cultural change in energy consumption. The government believes that the most important factor in the face of the energy crisis is changing public attitudes and citizenship responsibility. For this reason, using the capacity of the media, the training and companionship of the private sector, we are trying to form a new discourse on “conscious consumption” and “fair consumption”. Of course, the government's proposal to change the official watch with the aim of saving energy consumption in parliament was not approved; While it could reduce power consumption by up to 5 MW daily and save the capacity of a large power plant. However, the government has continued to reform consumption with the same seriousness.
The government has actively acted on this path: changing the summer working hours, the closure of Thursdays, the use of renewable energy in the offices, reforming cooling equipment, and monitoring the consumption pattern of executive agencies, are part of the government's executive measures to reduce network loads over the year.
The “2 -degree” is a symbol of this new approach: voluntary participation of people in the national decision. This scout shows that if society is properly informed and its participation is taken seriously, it can bear the main burden of crossing the crisis alongside the government.
In the end, I invite all the noble people of Iran to join the “2 -degree” contribution to the preservation of national resources, the stability of the energy network, and the reduction of public costs. The future needs our collective decisions today.
