100 sewage treatment plants under construction across Iran

TEHRAN – The head of Iran’s National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company has said that 100 wastewater treatment plants are under construction across the country, Tasnim News Agency reported.

Hashem Amini said the northern and southern coastal cities of the country are the main priority for the construction of the mentioned plants.

According to the official, seven of the mentioned plants will go operational by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (late March 2025).
